Steve's career began in Midland after graduating from University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Geoscience. Steve went on to obtain his Master of Science in Geology from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Steve is currently Associate Vice President of Arcadis in Midland and manages the Midland and Corpus Christi offices. He oversees all remediation projects within the office and has a wide range of experience in subsurface investigation. He has conducted environmental and safety audits of drilling locations, producing facilities, pipelines, gas plants and refineries. Steve was instrumental in updating the latest revision of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association's Environmental Handbook. He has also managed a well blowout in Louisiana as on site Incident Commander that included negotiations with the U. S. Coast Guard and state regulatory agencies on the subsequent natural resource damage assessment (NRDA). Past experience includes over seven years generating economic oil and gas prospects in the Ft. Worth Basin of north central Texas and Permian Basin of southeast New Mexico and west Texas. Steve is a past president of the Division of Environmental Geosciences of the American Association of Petroleum Geologist, a member of the West Texas Geological Society and Society of Petroleum Engineers. Currently, Steve is working with engineering and geologic professionals from the University of Texas of the Permian basin and private industry on a DOE grant to model residual oil zones (ROZ) of Permian age rock in fairways located in Southeast New Mexico and West Texas.

Matt completed the A&P program at Midland College and holds Federal Aviation Administration certificates in both Air Frame and Power plant. He started his career at American Eagle Airlines in Abilene Texas after he completed a 6 week training course in Michigan. Matt then moved back to Midland to work for Trace Engines, a start-up company assembling state-of-the-art piston engines that generate 600 horsepower. Matt personally built, tested and provided R&D data that allowed Trace to receive their FAA approval in late 2009. Matt has since moved to Waco where he is contracted with Space X which is developing the new Falcon 9 rockets on a NASA contract to supply the international space station with supplies. Matt provides technical assistance to the structures & integration department focusing on final assembly and testing of flight hardware.
